I just received a small table from the brick…I ordered it on-line. It’s so tall, my feet don’t even touch the ground when I’m sitting on the chair. It says pub set…what is this? Why are they so tall…is that the new style or made for giants? I never noticed on the picture it was like this. I did get chairs with it. They’re just as tall
Hi! Pub style meaning pub like in a bar, ya know. They come from the coffee houses, bars and restaurants that have them, then started popping up in the late nineties for the home. We have one that is an outdoor set that I love. You just have to have in mind bar stool size chairs before ordering. ;p I just meant that pub = bar stool for height comparison!
By being taller you can enjoy level seating with your counter. This expands the dining roon and gives everyone the same level for coversation. This can make things more intimate and really help the atmosphere. Pub Table Sets just look nicer in the kitchen area.

My pledge class and I need a greek gift to give to the rest of the chapter. We need some more ideas, last year did a bar table.
Throw some out
Hi Greg, what we did in my day was make four folding card tables, finished in a high gloss varnish. Because of the grain in the 3ply after sanding, the varnish really lifted the grain. We lightly sanded in between coats of varnish, we did five coats of varnish and three coats of clear.
Hope that gives you an idea.
Chris

Gosh that is a hard one. You say the stools are too tall for the table….hmmmm I guess what I would do is cut a hole in the floor so you can lower their height.
Or maybe you could hang the table from the ceiling to make it taller.
There might be something more obvious that you could do, but I just can’t think of what it could be.

My bf is from the North side and Im from the South side. I took him to some South side good Irish bars. Well for some stupid reason these 2 black girls show up which is like unheard of in that neigborhood. Well my bf was talking to some guys and I was at another table with my girls. When I over hear these 2 black girls talking about how like every guy was staring at them and how easy it would be to pick up a decent guy here. So I got kinda pissed at that.
Well then my bf is kinda short but hes really really cute and funny. And somehow they picked up on that. And I heard them talking about how cute he was then the one girl was like I would not mind showing off that white boy. And so they walk over and start to flirt with him. I was like hell no! So I storm over there and was like dont u guys have some rapper to blow or something. And then my bf was like WTF why they hell would you say something like that? And the girls were like wow I cant believe your dating that. When you want a real girl give me a call and she gave him her number which I instantly took and ripped it up right in front of them. Then we got into a fight and it had to be broken up. So we all get thrown out and my bf was pissed at me for some reason. Then he goes Im not letting them walk to their car alone so come with me and well all walk back to their car peacefully. Well I was like FU and went the other way AND HE DIDN’T FOLLOW HE WALKED THOSE RAP GROUPIE GIRLS BACK TO THEIR CAR! I AM SO PISSED OFF RIGHT NOW! SO MY QUESTION IS SINCE WHEN HAVE BLACK GIRLS STARTED GOING TO IRISH PUBS TO PICK UP WHITE GUYS?
Most likely because your a racist bitch is because he was angry. You overreacted. Instead of handling yourself in a mature way you preceded to start a scene, than slander the ladies by using racist garbage and embarrass your boyfriend and friends. Unless they really were being aggressive, you shouldn’t have started anything. Your a disgusting boyfriend and I hope your boyfriend cheats on you.

A couch, a bookcase with books and sports memorabilia, like a museum, an Austrailian pine tree painting, a Norman Rockwell painting of a baseball game, a painting called "Dockside Cafe", a pub table, a cabinet and a rug.
Do they match? By the way,. the walls are cream colored and the furniture is cherry walnut, and curtains are burgundy.
What color should my pillows be?
your pillows should be burgandy like your curtains.i don’t know if the sports memorabilia matches the victorian decor.

I graduated in 2006 with a BFA in Photography, but I want to go into furniture design. I’m having trouble finding schools that offer this, or even deciding if I should go back to school. How do I find a school? How do I get an internship? Or just a job? How can I contact current designers? Are there any resources out there?
Please search on search engines and check it…Join furniture designer forums..from their you will get lot of help ..Good luck

I am wondering what style is currently popular in furniture and interior decorating styles? I see a lot of furniture from ‘estate sales’, danish modern (Eames??), retro, etc. How do you find out what styles and trends are currently ‘in’?
Most popular decor is Early Yard Sale.

When I look at modern furnitures they look so simple like a box or some piece of board, but it is so expensive. Do you think I can make a box and stain finish myself and say a modern furniture? Or is their more to modern furniture than just a box.
No I am not tying to sell. I wanted to put them in my house. But I was too expensive.
Making modern furniture covers a lot of ground. The most important thing to remember about the design and manufacture of modern furniture is it all about the geometry . . . . . Both in appearance and construction. Whether you can make it can only be know by you. Some people think it is easy than making a styles like Victorian or Georgian, because its so much simpler in appearance, but just the opposite is true. All you have to work with, are the lines of design and the joinery as embellishment, if something isn’t appropriate or correct, there are no curly-ques to cover for it. It just wood, joints and you . . ..
Good Luck.
